Using OMII-Europe Grid solutions to fight malaria - EGEE User Forum
14th February 2008, Clermont-Ferrand - France
Grid computing has had a major impact on many areas of research; drug development is one such field. The WISDOM project is tasked with enabling the discovery of anti-malarial drugs through Grid computing. The OMII-Europe interoperability architecture has been proposed as a solution to the WISDOM project to overcome frustrating boundaries across heterogeneous Grid infrastructures. This was explored more in an OMII-Europe workshop at the end of the user forum attracting users from various fields. The adoption of OMII-Europe components by other projects is a major milestone for the project. -
